Yes, Jesus is talking to you! ~ April 30th, 2022

I truly believe what we were taught about prayer, especially many years ago has limited us in communicating with our awesome God. We were taught to pray in a certain form or way. I believe as it states above God just wants to communicate with us, all the time. Not just before bedtime, or when something is wrong in our lives but "anytime". Yes, He wants to be the center of our lives and why not, we are the center of His.
In Matthew 6:6 it states; But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
What God wants and always wants is your heart. Simon Peter stated it the best in John 21:17: He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
See, Jesus does know all things. He knows your heart. He wants you to want to share it with Him. Talk to Him! He is waiting.
There is an interesting poem at the end of this song "New Halleujah" which speaks about this.
God's love and grace to you all!
Jesus, Jesus, Jesus! ~ April 29th, 2022
I think if someone would ask me to name three of what gets me through my day I would reply, "Jesus, Jesus, Jesus!!". Some may say it is because I am in the senior part of my life but I would say, "No, He is my life.

For sure He is my "EVERYTHING"! Yes, He is the great I AM!

Now here is an interesting poem I have been blessed with titled "I Came Upon". It is truly what Jesus love is all about, I believe. When we can try to understand it is all about Him that is when our lives truly begin.
Well for sure I am blessed to be standing in the "Savior's Shadow"! I pray you are all there with me.
God's love and grace to you all!
Words to live by! ~ April 28th, 2022
As I looked back at April's blog I noticed I haven't posted many this month. sometimes that is just what happens as I get involved with other projects or just "life" as they say. I thought I would share a scripture that the Lord has put on my heart since early this year. It is Philippines 4:8, which states:
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

So when I stop and reflect on this scripture the first thing that comes to mind is, "not many can be found in today's times" unless you concentrate on Jesus. For everyone describes Him. Also if you concentrate on Him you will not be concentrating on the bad things. As soon as a bad thought or anything contrary to Philippines 4:8 comes into my mind I now stop and cast it away for it is not how or what I want my life to be. I want to be like Jesus!
I Want To Be Like Him
I walked into a room today and made someone smile. This person looked up at me and said “Please stay for awhile”.
She told me it has been so long since anyone seemed to care, and how grateful they were that I took my time to share.
Yes, it seems everyone is so busy even family and friends of mine. Too busy thinking of themselves, pretending there is no time.
This person asked me why I do it and to His mission I stay so true? I said, "Because I want to be like Him, isn't this what Jesus would do?"

Back in the mid 1950's I remember hearing these two songs being sung in church. It always brings a smile to my face when listening or singing them!

The day after Easter 2022! ~ April 18th, 2022

I saw this on Facebook and it reminded me of the scripture that I saw when I first got my new NIV Bible in the early 1990's. The Lord was bringing me back to church and I noticed they all were using the NIV translation. the only Bible I had was the KJV so I went to buy a new Bible. When I walked into the Christian book store I said, "Lord, when I open this Bible let me see the verse You most want me to understand"! Well, I opened it to Isaiah 29:13,
13 The Lord says:
“These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship of me is based on merely human rules they have been taught.
The picture above I believe states the same thing.
I just finished my latest poem titled, "The Day After Easter". It also I believe relates to many peoples hearts nowadays.
The Day After Easter
It’s the day after Easter,
fancy dresses, suits and ties put away.
Back to life’s daily routines,
not many thinking what happened yesterday.
Many understand and believe more,
in the Easter bunny and his colored eggs.
Just another holiday to celebrate
but not understanding God’s heart it does break.
See, the three most important days,
in our lives, is never about you and me.
It is about Jesus birth, death and resurrection,
yes, salvation for all who believe.
Well, however you think of this day
it is totally up to you.
I believe we will all understand
when our earthly lives are through!

I want to share a poem that I was inspired with almost 11 years ago titled "The Day of Reckoning".
The Day Of Reckoning
The day of reckoning is coming soon,
when we will be judged for what we have done.
Every word spoken, every action taken,
to be reviewed before our God.
It will be too late to ask for forgiveness,
for that time will now have passed.
It will be judgment day for His people,
yes, the day of reckoning at last.
But no one knows when that day will be,
for the Father didn’t even tell His beloved Son.
Because of this there still is time,
for there is forgiveness for each and everyone.
Oh, we will be judged for that is true,
but all our wrongs will have been erased.
See, Jesus took the judgment for us,
yes, on Calvary He took our place.
But it is not complete until we ask
and to Him for our sins we do repent.
Then when the day of reckoning comes,
our earthly lives will be viewed as time well spent!
