God decides! ~ March 12th, 2023

Which is stronger, a brick wall or a spider's web? Well, the answer is in the title above. See, God decides what we need. Our faith is in Him!

Now here is a story I found many years ago which explains it so well I think. During World War 2, a soldier was separated from his unit on an island. The fighting had been intense, and in the smoke and the crossfire he had lost touch with his comrades. Alone in the jungle, he could hear enemy soldiers coming in his direction. Scrambling for cover, he found his way up a high ridge to several small caves in the rock. Quickly he crawled inside one of the caves. Although safe for the moment, he realized that once the enemy soldiers looking for him swept up the ridge, they would quickly search all the caves and he would be killed. As he waited, he prayed, "Lord, please spare my life. Whatever will happen, I love you and trust you. Amen." After praying, he lay quietly listening to the enemy begin to draw close. He thought, "Well, I guess the Lord isn't going to help me out of this one." Then he saw a spider begin to build a web over the front of his cave. "Hah" he thought, "What I need is a brick wall and what the Lord has sent me is a spider web. God does have a sense of humor." As the enemy drew closer he watched from the darkness of his hide out and could see them searching one cave after another. As they came to his, he got ready to make his last stand, but then he heard the leader of the soldiers say: "you may as well ignore looking in this cave ...if he had entered here this web would be broken!" So they left and he was delivered! To his amazement, however, after glancing in the direction of his cave, they moved on. Suddenly he realized that with the spider web over the entrance, his cave looked as if no one had entered for quite a while. "Lord, forgive me," he prayed. "I had forgotten that in you a spider's web is stronger than a brick wall. He will use the most foolish things in this world to confound the wise! God is your protector, if you believe in him.

Now here is a poem that probably the Unknown Author probably wrote for it isn't mine but I do like it. A tiny little spider climbed up a fence post. She often went unnoticed and she had no cause to boast.

But, one day she spun a web with such beauty in the weave she said, “This is a masterpiece! But, no one will believe.”

“For my work is hidden, and no one else will see. I guess all of this beauty was only meant for me.”

She went to sleep that night, content with what she’d done, and didn’t wake again until she saw the morning sun.

She awoke, amazed to find, that night a fog rolled through, and the beauty that was hidden now was laced with jewels of dew.

There’s not always fanfare, and you’ll rarely get applause still, keep doing what you do. do it … just because.

Yes, do your best knowing even if it’s not revealed, God has a way of showing things that are concealed.

Yep, it all comes down to believing. Either you do or you don't. For me, well, I still believe and that is the name of this song that I sing cover too in a God's Love program.

God's love and grace to you all!

From "0" to "80"! ~ March 5th, 2023

Very interesting that of all my birthdays, this being #80, I never spent a lot of time thinking of them. Just another day I would always think and say. This one was different. First I never thought I would be "on this side of the grass" as they say. One thing for sure is each birthday was a blessing. I am amazed how fast the years "flew" by. Maybe because we get so involved with life we never stop to think about it and also to give thanks for each day that we are given.

I recently made a video showcasing my "80th" birthday. In it is a poem I was blessed with the day before I could officially say "I am now a member of the "80's club"! Look out 90's here I come, "Lord willing"!

I always like to add a song in each of my heart message if I can. This one is titled "He Knows My Name". My friends, He truly does. Listen closely to the lyrics as I sang cover to the song. See, He knows your names too. As it states in His Word, He knew you before being in your mother's womb. Wow!

Jeremiah 1:5

Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee;

Well, if you are wondering what my name is, here is on more cover song for sure explaining that!

God's love and grace to you all!

One day!! ~ March 2nd, 2023

As I inch closer to the 5th of March and I reach an awesome milestone in my life, "80" years, I thought it a good way to start off this months "Heart Messages". I think of life like running the mile as I did in high school when taking track in gym. When I first start out after the starter gun goes off for the first quarter of the race (once around) I would go as fast as I could. Just like compared to my early 20's, energy galore. For the next quarter mile I would slow a bit but not that much though. Now when I would reach the half mile I would start to pace myself to make sure I would not run out of energy. This would be similar to my 50's. In the 3rd quarter of the mile I would notice I was starting to run a lot slower but pushed to get into the final lap. Well, my friends, that is where I realize I am finally in and the most important part is finishing the race.

Here is a poem/poems video that I believe describes the last lap so well. For me it does!

Now here is the song I sang cover for in many God's Love programs at the nursing homes, "I Can Only Imagine", plus the poem I was blessed with titled "As I Walked Into Heaven"!

1 Corinthians 9:24

Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.

Hebrews 12:1-2

1Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

God's love and grace to you all!
