A "FOREVER" love! ~ February 27th, 2023
A good way to end this month, the month I think of as "Heart month"! I love
this short story about a person that explains it so well.
I DESPISE RELIGION. Take all your creeds, your rules, your things you gotta
say and can't say and must be and can't be and should do and can't do lists
and get away from me.... ALL I WANT IS JESUS.
It's not rules that took away my suicidal thoughts. It's not talking right that
caused me to learn that I was worthy of love. It wasn't the do and don’ts
and shoulds and shouldn'ts that caused me to surrender and give my heart
to the ONLY ONE WHO HOLDS MY HEART AND SOUL. It’s not religion that
forgave my sin.
Take your religion. Take your traditions. Your buildings, your pulpits, your
codes of behavior that claim to qualify people and GIVE ME JESUS BECAUSE
IT IS HE, not you, not your religion, your doctrines, your denominations and
oaths that have loved me with a love that I never knew but always longed
for. Nope.
GIVE ME JESUS. He's the only One who could change me. JESUS. ❤️
Well, I truly believe as this person does and agrees 100%! I would have to
spend some time reviewing over 650 plus published poems about love,
there are many, but chose one from each of my 4 published books to
illustrate. Be blessed!
It Is All About Love
It is all about love,
no matter what you do.
It is love that starts your day
and is love that gets you through.
Love was at the very beginning,
when God spoke, “Let there be light.”
Yes love was there each time we failed,
but we remained so precious in His sight.
Even as the worldly sin increased,
His love would not let go.
Each time His flesh was cut so deep,
He said, ”Father forgive them”,
because He loved us so.
And His love was left within us,
on that day from this world He did depart.
The same love that was in the beginning,
remains embedded so deep inside our hearts.

Why Do I Love Him
Why do I love Him,
well, it’s plain to see,
even though it was over 2000 years ago,
Jesus died on the cross for me.
Why did He do it?
Why did He suffer all that pain?
It was all because of love,
and I know He would do it again!
See, He knew me before I knew Him,
He claimed me for His own.
He wants me to spend eternity with Him,
together in His heavenly home.
All I had to do was choose
to accept His act of love.
I hope you choose as I did,
so we all can be together above.

How Deep Is His Love
How deep is Christ’s love you might ask,
how could we judge it if we could?
Of course we could go back over 2000 years
where before the Cross Jesus stood.
See the worse was going to happen
even though He was already beaten.
No it wasn’t the shame He endured
or to Cross He was nailed and His body weakened.
To feel the depth of Jesus love
we must understand what He didn’t want to lose.
See, He was willing to give all He had
so all we had to do was choose.
“My Father, why have You forsaken Me?”,
is the true depth of His love.
See, Jesus took His Father’s wrath for us,
so together we can all be above.

Just Give Me Love
Take your fancy cars,
and all your fancy clothes,
just give me love
and just leave me alone.
Keep your expensive house,
and all that technology gives,
just give me love,
for that is what true life is.
Don’t look for me at party’s
or life’s big whatever.
Just give me love,
for that keeps me together.
You may say I am silly
for I am always looking above.
Well that my friends
is where I found “true love”!

Which way are you going? ~ February 23rd, 2023
I do believe whoever has read my poems understands the love of rhyming in the writing of them. Also I have mentioned many times that other people also have written/been blessed with awesome poems. I found this one and it fit in so well with everything in this Heart Message.
Who is Leading? "O Lord , I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps" (Jer. 10:23). "Lead me in a plain path" (Ps. 27:14). Many people want to direct God, instead of resigning themselves to be directed by Him; to show Him a way, instead of passively following where He leads. --Madame Guyon I said: "Let me walk in the field"; God said: 'Nay, walk in the town"; I said: "There are no flowers there"; He said: "No flowers, but a crown." I said: "But the sky is black, There is nothing but noise and din"; But He wept as He sent me back, "There is more," He said, "there is sin I said: "But the air is thick, And fogs are veiling the sun"; He answered: "Yet souls are sick, And souls in the dark undone." I said: "I shall miss the light, And friends will miss me, they say"; He answered me, "Choose tonight, If I am to miss you, or they." I pleaded for time to be given; He said: "Is it hard to decide? It will not seem hard in Heaven To have, followed the steps of your Guide." I cast one look at the fields, Then set my face to the town; He said: "My child, do you yield? Will you leave the flowers for the crown?" Then into His hand went mine, And into my heart came He; And I walk in a light Divine, The path I had feared to see. --George MacDonald
Now this is one of mine that I also believe fits in so well.
Paths of Life
There are two paths of life,
one is titled “right”
and the other “wrong”.
With each one we
get to decide, on which one
do we each belong.
From infant to young adult
we are taught by various,
examples by what we hear and see.
Some seem more exciting than others
but each leads to the
final destination for you and me.
One path may have
many friends and even family,
encouraging you on your way.
But the final choice is ours,
it starts with just believing,
as we start each new day.
Well, I believe in the Bible,
and what the Word of God,
through His Spirit, does say to me.
I will keep my feet on
the righteous path,
yep, that’s my path you see.
E. P. Shagott
From God's Heart, to Mine, to Yours
Heaven
See, I believe we all have a decision to make which decides which path we take in life and where that path will take us. I made mine many years ago and though there was a time I strayed off it, I came back to it. Yep, I made my stand!
God's love and grace to you all!

Inhale, exhale ~ February 21st, 2023
There was a moment when Moses had the nerve to ask God what his name is. God was gracious enough to answer, and the name he gave is recorded in the original Hebrew as YHWH.
Over time we’ve arbitrarily added an “a” and an “e” in there to get YaHWeH, presumably because we have a preference for vowels.
But scholars and Rabi’s have noted that the letters YHWH represent breathing sounds, or aspirated consonants. When pronounced without intervening vowels, it actually sounds like breathing.
YH (inhale): WH (exhale).
So a baby’s first cry, his first breath, speaks the name of God.
A deep sigh calls His name – or a groan or gasp that is too heavy for mere words.
Even an atheist would speak His name, unaware that their very breath is giving constant acknowledgment to God.
Likewise, a person leaves this earth with their last breath, when God’s name is no longer filing their lungs.
So when I can’t utter anything else, is my cry calling out His name? Being alive means I speak His name constantly. So, is it heard the loudest when I’m the quietest? In sadness, we breathe heavy sighs. In joy, our lungs feel almost like they will burst. In fear we hold our breath and have to be told to breathe slowly to help us calm down. When we’re about to do something hard, we take a deep breath to find our courage.
When I think about it, breathing is giving him praise. Even in the hardest moments!
This is so beautiful and fills me with emotion every time I grasp the thought. God chose to give himself a name that we can’t help but speak every moment we’re alive.
All of us, always, everywhere.
Waking, sleeping, breathing, with the name of God on our lips.
Author unknown
With His Last Breath
With His last breath taken,
Jesus looked down from the Cross.
He was looking throughout all time,
always reaching out for all the lost.
His eyes were constantly searching,
looking into each earthly heart.
As His last breath was quickly leaving,
knowing very quickly He would have to part.
Jesus wants for all men and women,
who truly believe in Him,
to pick up their own Cross of salvation,
and tell others, so they can be born again.
So with His last breath taken,
He said, “Father, it is finished, Your will is done.”
Now my friends it is up to you and me,
to reach out to His lost before our last breath comes.
E. P. Shagott
God's love and grace to you all!

P.U.S.H. ~ February 19th, 2023
I saw this story on Facebook and thought it would make a good Heart Message for sure. Be blessed!
A man was sleeping one night in his cabin when suddenly his room filled with light, and God appeared. The Lord told the man he had work for him to do, and showed him a large rock in front of his cabin. The Lord explained that the man was to push against the rock with all his might...
So, this the man did, day after day. For many years he toiled from sunup to sundown, his shoulders set squarely against the cold, massive surface of the unmoving rock, pushing with all his might! Each night the man returned to his cabin sore and worn out, feeling that his whole day had been spent in vain.
Since the man was showing discouragement, the adversary (satan) decided to enter the picture by placing thoughts into the man's weary mind. (He will do it every time!). "You have been pushing against that rock for a long time and it hasn't moved." Thus, he gave the man the impression that the task was impossible and that he was a failure. "Lord," he said, "I have labored long and hard in Your Service, putting all my strength to do that which you have asked. Yet, after all this time, I have not even budged that rock by half a millimeter. What is wrong? Why am I failing?".
The Lord responded compassionately, "My friend, when I asked you to serve Me and you accepted, I told you that your task was to push against the rock with all of your strength, which you have done. Never once did I mention to you that I expected you to move it. Your task was to push. And now you come to Me with your strength spent, thinking that you have failed. But, is that really so? Look at yourself. Your arms are strong and muscled, your back shiny and brown; your hands are callused from constant pressure, your legs have become massive and hard. Through opposition you have grown much, and your abilities now surpass that which you used to have. True, you haven't moved the rock. But your calling was to be obedient and to push and to exercise your faith and trust in My wisdom. That you have done. Now I, my friend, will move the rock.."
At times, when we hear a word from God, we tend to use our own intellect to decipher what He wants, when actually what God wants is just simple obedience and faith in Him.
By all means, exercise the faith
that moves mountains, but know that
it is still God Who moves the mountains.
When everything seems to go wrong
Just P.U.S.H.
When the job gets you down
Just P.U.S.H.
When people don't do as you think they should
Just P.U.S.H.
When your money is "gone" and the bills are due
Just P.U.S.H.
When people just don't understand you
Just P.U.S.H.
P = Pray U = Until S = Something H = Happens
Though no one can go back and make a **brand new start**, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending."
God’s Task
God spoke to my heart,
He said, “I have a task for you.
All you have to be is obedient,
and trust I will get you through.
I have everything you will need
to accomplish what needs to be done.
Just listen to My Spirit
and always give praise to My Son.
Never get discouraged
or even stop to question why.
You were picked special for the task,
so don’t quit before giving it a try.
I know you can do it,
for you are my special one.
Someday you will understand why,
when we meet and I say, “Well done!”

The Journey is short! ~ February 3rd, 2023
An elderly woman got on a bus and sat down. At the next stop, a strong, grumpy young woman climbed up and sat down sharply beside the old woman, hitting her with her numerous bags. When she saw that the elderly woman remained silent, the young woman asked her why she had not complained when she hit her with her bags.
The elderly woman replied with a smile: ′ ′ There is no need to be rude or discuss something so insignificant, as my trip next to you is so short because I am going to get off at the next stop. " This answer deserves to be written in gold letters: ′ ′ There is no need to discuss something so insignificant, because our journey together is too short."
Each of us must understand that our time in this world is so short, that darkening with struggles, useless arguments, jealousy, not forgiving others, discontent and an attitude of constant discovery is a ridiculous waste of time and energy.
Did someone break your heart ?. Stay calm. The trip is too short. Did someone betray you, intimidate, cheat or humiliate you? Relax. Excuse.
The trip is too short. Did someone insult you without reason ?. Stay calm. Ignore it.
The trip is too short. Did a neighbor comment on the chat that you didn't like ?. Stay calm. Ignore him. Forgive that.
The trip is too short.
Whatever the problem someone has brought us, remember that our journey together is too short. No one knows the length of that trip. Nobody knows when it will arrive at its stop. Our trip together is too short.
We will appreciate friends and family.
Let us be respectful, kind and forgive, we will be filled with gratitude and joy, after all our trip together is very short.
Written by "unknown"
Glenn Frey, of the Eagles, along with Jack Tempchin wrote this song. I love singing cover to it in God's Love programs. When I stop and think about how short this journey of Life is it reminds me that at the end there is two things that are left. One to the world we leave behind, 'Be part of something good, leave something good behind.' that this song speaks of. Have a listen...
And two, where will your soul be headed? this song by George Strait that I also like singing cover too speaks of that.
God's love and grace to you all!

Trials and Tribulations! ~ February 2nd, 2023
Isaiah 49:13 , His word says that we are to break forth into singing.
I came across this story that I thought was good for the topic above.
There is a beautiful story I heard long ago which told of song birds being brought on a ship out to sea to arrive to the other shore. There were thirty-six thousand of them, mostly canaries. When the ship started out the seas were calm and the little birds set silent. They kept their little heads tucked under their wings and not a single note did they sing.(TALK ABOUT PERFECT PEACE) Anyway the third day out to sea , the ship struck a furious gale.. The passengers became terrified and all the children began to weep. Just then a strange thing happened. As the tempest reached it's height, the litlle birds lifted their heads and began to sing. First one, then another until all thirty-six thousand were singing as if their little throats would burst. We must ask ourselves, what must and should I do, how should we respond when the storms in our lives raise up furiously. Is our IMMEDIATE response, that one of SINGING? FATHER, teach us to begin the singing of Heaven in every situation and grant us YOUR GRACE to sing immediate rehearsals of eternal Hallelujahs. Bless the Lord, Oh my soul and forget not All of HIS BENEFITS. SING...KNOWING that these are endless possibilities for HIM to perform the miraculous in your life. Pick Yourself Up There are many times in life when troubles for sure there will be. We should not be surprised by this for Jesus said it, in Matthew 16:33. So what do we do when the storms come, how do we just make it through the day? Well, you pick yourself up, dust yourself off, stay true to Jesus, for that is the best way. See, Jesus said He has conquered all, and for sure He does not lie. Our part is believing, staying obedient, “NEVER” give up and always try. No one said this life would be easy, there are many people worse off than me. When I was laying face down and looked up it was Jesus, that with my heart I did see! E. P. Shagott 2/18/2021
I love singing the cover to this song, "Praise You In The Storm"! For sure hard to do but acknowledging what Jesus said in John's Gospel chapter 16:33; These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
Yes many, many trials will come our way and that is from God's lips! Always remember you are
always with Jesus, if you want to be there! Peace be still!!!
God's love and grace to you all!
