Do you? ~ February 24th, 2022

I saw this picture on Facebook and brought to mind a few poems that all start off the same way, "Do you". Two little to words but to all means "Eternity".

Hmm, good question, huh? Well, since I asked you all, here is my answer to the question in the video below. Yes, another poem! I pray you all do!

God's love and grace to you all!

We are all the same! ~ February 19th, 2022

As I was browsing through my many poem video's I found this one that touched my heart again. We are constantly living in this world that has each one of us battling or looking down at one another. We have become judges when in fact God is the only true judge. The title of this poem is "I Came Upon".

See, we all start out the very same way, we take our first breath. After that moment we are conditioned by what we are taught and by what our senses makes us aware of. Not one of us is better than the next but like the poem states it is how we have interacted with the world we live in.

Jesus did not look down on anyone. While on the Cross He asked His Father to forgive "us"! He loves us no matter what decisions we make, good or bad. Another thing that makes us the same is the word "change". I did! All I said was "Here I Am, Lord", use me!

You Can Make A Difference

You can make a difference even when the enemy tells you “no”. You can make a difference because Jesus loves you so!

You can make a difference yes, with Jesus, you can make things right. You can make a difference for you are so precious in His sight.

You can make a difference, see the choice is up to you. You can make a difference in everything that you do .

So decide today, my friends, surrendering your life to Him is the key. You can make a difference, you may be the only Jesus that someone ever sees!

There is a day coming! ~ February 18th, 2022

Once again, like so many other times, I saw a picture and it inspired a poem video. In case anyone is wondering I truly believe what I post, comment on and yes, sing. This poem video is titled "There Is A Day Coming"! My friends, there sure is!

Now here is an interesting thing to think about. As I was creating the video I also found this video with two other poems in it. Now to me I call that God's confirmation. You can call it whatever you would like. The poems are titled "One Day" and "One Day Soon"!

See, it all comes down to what you believe. I truly believe in Jesus and I know "He Knows My Name" and also each and everyone else's.

God's love and grace to you all!

What do you think? ~ February 15th, 2022

Philippines 4:8

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Well, in today's world, very hard to do for it appears they have lost their importance. Let me tell you, as that scripture was written many, many years ago it remains a key for good living today.

Yep, I truly "Believe" and daily try my best to think and live this way. What do you think? "You can't tell me it all ends in a slow ride in a hearse!!!"

God's love and grace to you all!

Extra, extra, read all about it! ~ February 13th, 2022

Ok, imagine one day you get up and the newspaper, no matter where you are living, has this lead article!

Well, my friends, I believe it will happen. Now some of you may ask, "How can he be so sure?" The answer is simple, "God's Word, the Bible, says so!" Then some of you may say, "Show me!" Then I would lead you to these scriptures about the end times!

Now if someone is not aware of the Bible, they may be thinking that "all" would be going to Heaven if God is truly a loving God. Well, He is a loving God but in His Word He tells us not all will get to Heaven.

I do pray that you are part of the few that travels the narrow road and enters by the narrow gate. One of my favorite songs is "Somewhere". I made it into video presentation. Toward the end I changed the lyrics to make it into an outreach song. "Read your Bibles and your half way there! Ask Him into your hearts and He will take you there!" Yes, Somehow (Jesus), Someday (Only the Father knows), Somewhere (Heaven)!

God's love and grace to you all!

Knock, knock! ~ February 10th, 2022

Several years ago, back in 1955 was a secular song titled "I Hear You Knocking". It came to mind as I was creating this blog, which by the way is my 100th blog posting! Also what came to mind is Revelation 3:20; Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

Now some of the song lyrics state, "I hear you knocking but you can't come in!"

Sounds like today's times for sure. See, Jesus, is always knocking and will never intrude. He will wait to be invited in.

I recently made this video with (2) poems describing the door to our hearts.

So my friends, it all comes down to you and me. How do we answer when we here the knocking on our hearts door? Well, I made my decision many years ago and do not regret asking Jesus in. Have there been problems since then? Sure, but did not face them alone. Has my life changed? Sure has. Just look back at the previous 99 blog postings and you should see it is all about Him!

I believe that this song, "He Knows My Name", is so true. He knows each one of yours also.

Well, a good song to close this 100th blog (wow!) explains it so well, "Always Be A Child". Listen with your heart as Jesus sings it to each of us!

God's love and grace to you all!

Important secret! ~ February 5th, 2022

I recently read an article that really touched my heart. First I want to share the ending of the article. This person for sure knows how important it is to not keep this a secret.

Allow me to tell you the secret of survival in this world? When you warm the heart of others, then you will warm yourself. "When you support, strengthen and encourage others, then you receive support, strengthening and encouragement in your life."

Now here is Angel's story.

Angel, a Jew, owner of the most famous bakery in Germany, often said: "Do you know why I'm alive today? I was still a teenager when Nazis in Germany killed Jews mercilessly. Nazis took us to Auschwitz by train. Last night in the ward was deadly cold. We were left for many days in cars without food, without beds, which means without the possibility to warm up somehow. It was snowing everywhere. The cold wind frozen our cheeks every second. There were hundreds of us on those cold, horrible nights. No food, no water, no hiding. The blood is frozen in the veins. Next to me was an elderly Jew who was very loved in my city. He was all shaking and looking terrible. I wrapped him with my hands to warm him up. Hugged him tight to give some warmth. Rub his hands, legs, face, neck. I begged him to stay alive. I cheered him up. This is how I kept this man warm all night. I myself was tired and frozen. Fingers crossed, but I kept massaging this man's body to warm him up.

So many hours have passed. Finally the morning has come, the sun has started to shine. I looked around myself to see other people. To my horror, all I could see was frozen corpses. All I could hear was the silence of death. Frosty night killed everyone. They died of cold. Only two people survived: the old man and me. The old man survived because I didn't let him freeze, and I survived because I made him warm.

Can you imagine what this person must have experienced. Even in her darkest hours she had compassion for another human being. This is a poem I was blessed with many years ago about reaching out;

Reach Out For Me

Look out through your eyes, for those hurting or in need, reach out, reach out, and touch their lives for Me.

Though you may be blessed, and have more than you need, reach out, reach out, and give to them for Me.

You may be happy, and content as can be, but look for the sad in despair, reach out and love them for Me.

Because you are blessed, and know what it is to be free, think of those in bondage, reach out and lead them to Me.

Don’t think of yourself, but of others you see, oh, please children of Mine, reach out, reach out for Me!

E. P. Shagott 12/16/2010

and also this one:

Reach Out As Far As You Can

Reach out, reach out, as far as you can, there will always be someone who needs a touch from your hand.

Reach out, reach out, as far as you can see, there will always be someone needing help, you may never know, it could be me.

Reach in, reach in, and from your heart do take, some of the love Christ gives to you, and pass it on to others, for their sake.

Reach, reach to others, is what we must do, for you never know when you will want someone to reach for you!

See, we all need someone to raise us up!

God's love and grace to you all!

Something is missing! ~ February 2nd, 2022

I saw this picture the other day on Facebook and was inspired to write the poem "The Missing Piece". It is just half of the picture and when you watch the video you will see the poem and the other half of the picture.

For me I truly believe that we all are born with a missing piece to make us whole. No matter how your life's journey is, somewhere, sometime, we look for that missing piece. Now for sure many fill the void with worldly things that give a false feeling of fullness. Many of what we fill that void with are not very good for us and in time we come to understand that.

I truly love Kris Kristofferson's song "Why Me, Lord?" How true the lyrics, "What have I ever done, to deserve even one, of the promises You shone? Well, for sure the answer is "nothing". There is nothing we can do to deserve God's love. It is a gift called "grace"!

How true the lyrics, "What have I ever done, to d" How true the lyrics, "What have I ever done, to deserve even one, of the blessings I have known? Well, for sure the answer is "nothing". There is nothing we can do to deserve God's love. It is a gift called "grace"!

Yes, for sure our souls in His hands!

God's love and grace to you all!

Five fingers! ~ February 1st, 2022

An interesting blog to start the month of February. When we think of February we think of Valentine's Day of course. Maybe this blog will help bring that more into focus. I saw this picture on Facebook and shortly after, I was blessed with this poem titled "Five Fingers".

Five Fingers

Five fingers on our hands

are there for us to understand.

We each have a reason this life we live

and to the Kingdom our works we give.

Some might be called a Pastor to be

but maybe not you or even me.

No, you might be called for many to teach,

while I was called out for the lost to reach.

Apostles and Prophets are also in need

and part of God’s church for all who believe.

So one finger means Teacher and also Pastor on one.

Evangelist and Prophet on two and Apostle the thumb.

You see, we each must do our own part,

for that is how God set it up from the start.

So if you ever wonder why on earth you be,

just look at your five fingers and you will see!

I believe the love part comes through that our Almighty God loves us so much that even after the fall of man He still wanted His children to be a part of His family. As believers in Jesus we all have a part to do for His Kingdom. It by no means mean that anyone of us as believers are better than the other. No, it just means that we believe in the saving grace of the Gospel message and want to share it by whatever gifts and callings was put on our heart.

If you would want to see more of my calling and how it affected me and others I would encourage you to visit this testimonial page in this website (https://www.glowny.org/testimonies).

Well, I believe a good song to close this blog with is "You Don't Know Me"! Also in this video is a poem titled "It's Me, Lord". See, probably many friends and yes even family don't really know me. The reason being is when I surrendered my life to Christ I truly became a new creature as is described in His Holy Word.

2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
